TreeHugger loves Ed Begley Jr. We've covered his eco-shenanigans, interviewed him, and asked him to judge our Convenient Truths contest. Now, his reality show, Living With Ed—which formerly aired on HGTV—will live on Planet Green, officially making him part of the TH family. We're stoked and thankfully, so is Ed:
"I am so pleased Living With Ed is going to be a part of Planet Green," says Ed Begley, Jr. "I've had a great time making the series and look forward to continuing to share the show with its many fans."
The series chronicles Ed and his wife Rachelle's low-impact life in L.A., from Ed's bicycling adventures to green home improvements in their solar-powered home. Get inspired to do the same by checking out the show and the rest of Planet Green's line-up starting June 4th.

You still have to have cable or satellite TV to see this, though, right? I wish there were a way to see them online.
Even with a digital cable subscription, our service area doesn't carry the Planet Green channel. I've made the request, but apparently the don't want to take away cable real estate from the channels that carry the amazing stuff like "Dancing With Reality Show Vote-offs"..... sigh. I'd ditch the tv altogether if it were my choice.
I am excited! What a great, forward-thinking, and loving person he is. He is definitely someone to model or learn from.
Girls go crazy for a Sharp panelled man!
My favorite Ed comment (on the Adam Carolla show):
"I'm not green as much as I am really, really cheap."
If anyone else is in LA in early June, they can join him and a hundred plus other bike riders for a fund raising River Ride. (Google: Los Angeles River Ride)
Will there be any new shows for 2008-2009?
LIVING WITH ED is the best show on television.
Ed tell us where we can get these great products that you have on your show
i love all the ideas you have implemented in your home, but i feel that is for someone who is rich and can afford to get solar panels, or wind generators. i live in an area (south of Texas) that having solar panels, etc. is something i would love to have but feel i can't afford all that. what can i do to cut cost and not expensive to intall?
