Great Copy Machine Epidemic Solved by Students at Grace Hill Elementary in AR!

With close to 1500 people casting ballots for the schools they felt solved The Great Copy Machine Epidemic of 2008; it’s amazing that not much more than a handful of votes separated the top contenders.
But it turns out the students at Grace Hill Elementary in Rogers, Arkansas came out on top; solving the crisis by diagnosing their school’s photocopy machine with a severe case of “Carbon Footprint Swollenitis”.
Apparently, symptoms include a severe swelling of the feet; leaving a larger than life impact on the planet and contributing to global warming long after the school day is done.
Now it seems like members of the copy crisis team at Grace Hill had some fun while learning a bit and ultimately taking home the title of “Copy Crisis Team of the Year” to top it all off. For as 4th grader Skyler Crawford put it, “Doing surgery on the copy machine was fun. And knowing the amount of wasted paper and energy it was causing we had to do something to make it better and reduce its carbon footprint on the earth!”
But runners-up trailed very close behind; with Longwood High School coming in second and Immaculata Catholic School third, followed by a spirited entry from the first graders in Miss. Snyder’s class at Mary Lin Elementary in Georgia who tackled what just may become known as the cutest case of Tree-berculosis yet, and found themselves an overnight sensation in the city of Atlanta.
So congrats to everyone who participated this spring, and make sure to keep those scrubs and uniforms handy; you just never know if school copy machines across America will start showing signs of a strange, contagious disease again this time next year.
