Judging by the stretch limos and police escorts whirling through my neighborhood today, it sounds like George W. Bush's entourage has landed in Jerusalem. Al Gore is due to come next week to collect a cool $1 million prize at Tel Aviv University (fingers crossed that we get to meet him), and last week San Francisco's Mayor Gavin Newsom (known for his controversial interest in wave energy tech) was in town checking out Israeli cleantech companies like Leviathan (which can generate electricity from a flushing toilet), and Shai Agassi's electric car project.
Check out Newsom's enthusiasm in the video. Does this mean San Francisco's going to be the next to follow Israel's electric car hype?
