Imbued with the softness of your favorite, most-well-worn T-shirt, The Bob Johnson Project's 100 percent organic-cotton long-sleeve tees ($65) feature charming vintage black-and-red illustrations depicting circus strongmen effortlessly raising barbells, children playing leapfrog, jockeys charging ahead on their steeds, and butterflies fluttering idly by.

Printed generously on both sides, the shirts are currently available in six designs for women, with additional styles in the works. ::The Bob Johnson Project

Why so much? These are hopefully better than the less-expensive organic summer shirts I saw at a major retailer over the weekend. Organic, and environmentally friendly, the tag said. Then, below that, Made in China.

$65 is modest compared to some of the other designer tees being sold for $90-$300 a piece, atleast these are organic.

You are paying for the name and design of what's printed on them. If you want something less expensive, you can buy plain organic tees for $20 from places like American Apparel.

Jesus! $65?! That cotton better have been grown on some remote island irrigated by the tears of baby hawaiian monk seals for that price...

The vintage track bike design is great, but yeah, the price is a bit steep.

Ouch, $65? Does it manage to filter your sweat into drinking water or something?

American Apparel has long sleeve organic cotton, made in the USA shirt for just $26.

I absolutely love these shirts. They're original, inventive, and a work of art. $65 may be much, but I they're worth every penny for their whimsical imagery you exhibit when wearing them.
