As Prices Rise, Farmers Spurn Conservation: Thousands of farmers are taking their fields out of the government’s biggest conservation program, which pays them not to cultivate. Maybe Tree Hugger ( who as a better reach than my baby blog) could launch an appeal to help jump start a few simple things to both help fight these rises and food miles:

why are majors applaince brands involved or are deisgners not doing more: Simple ideas:
- SOLAR cookers : designers should be making them better easier to use: once you have it - forget paying to cook
- Water harvesting : ditto : why are they so ugly ? So few sizes and options? That would save water bills
- Solar panels : why cant balconies all have mini ones that could feed a few appliances ( after all you showed handbags with solar panels)
- Grow your own kits : no begginner is going to learn complex things: stores should sell grow in bags for tomatoes salad

n short I feel it is time to push these ideas in the mainstream ....

MY sos!
