by Dominic Muren, Philadelphia, USA on 04. 7.08

Answer: B) 90%
According to data put out by the US Department of Transportation, in 2001 90% of Americans drove to work in cars. In fact, New York City is the only locality in the country where more than half of all households do not own a car (the figure is even higher in Manhattan with only 25% car ownership, vs a national rate of 92%)." When it comes to the prevalence of America's car culture, that about says it all.

It's so funny how you are using for the header an image from an European city, more precisely Bucharest where we went from around 100000 cars to around 1.5 milion cars in less than 10 years. Add to that the way the romanian drivers are driving and you get the image from the header. And by the way I seen worst than that in Bucharest :)
