EDF Energies Nouvelles Invests $50M in Nanosolar

There are many thin-film solar startups, but few have moved from the lab to the factory as fast as Nanosolar. They shipped their first solar panels last December, and their $100 million factory has been selling its whole production of copper-indium-gallium-selenide (CIGS) cells ever since.
The latest good news for the company is that France's EDF Energies Nouvelles has invested $50 million in the company and secured part of Nanosolar's 2009 production for a competitive price. The money should help them increase production in a market that gets more competitive all the time (Sharp is building a $725 million, 480 MW thin-film solar plant). ::CNN

I wish I could buy some Nanosolar stock! Come on guys, how about an IPO? ;)
That's the secret...you can't buy them out.
There is another story saying Sharp is investing $725 Million(currency ?) in a factory to produce 480 MWatts of thin film solar per year.
It won't take long to pay for itself, it would seem.
I think the world has turned.
Shweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!
I also thank Google for being major investors in the early Nanosolar because that really seemed to be some kind of ignition point.
I wonder why the Nanosolar panel was taken off e-Bay? That will surely see some serious press coverage in the years to come and the story may achieve a fable like status.
*Yes, I like a punt!*
This is too scary, EDF is the nuclear industry sinking its teeth into state-of-the-art PV tech... is it to divest, or diversify? They want it both ways, claiming they are a clean energy company, because they work with solar, wind and nuclear.
It's a lie, of the grandest, most sordid proportion, and nano-solar should be ashamed to have sold out to them! Traitors!
