We really, really, really wish this was an April Fool's Day joke.

It isn't.

The Material Earth Mom will be clad in a leotard and knee-high boots for Vanity Fair's third annual Green issue—her 10th cover for the magazine—while holding up a custom-made globe. Watch out, global warming! ::Telegraph

apparently it's the least green article they've ever printed as part of the "Green" issue.

I thought the only green Madonna cared about was money?

does anyone really care about her any more? especially what she thinks?

This is just too ridiculous.

I gained a lot of faith in Madonna watching the music video for 'American Life' on youtube. (The unsensored/uncut version is even more powerful.)

She's always evolving, and it's a wonder she's not labeled a terrorist after that vid. Good on her for it! Give the woman a chance to change.

Since she began in early eighties, up till now, Madonna was and still one of the greatest artists who’s towering over pop music. She’s brilliant in many fields and succeeded to attract more fan all over the world and I’m no exception. As far as I’m concerned, I do love her way of performing and singing. I always try to attend her concerts whenever she comes near my town but some prices are unaffordable. Lately a friend has recommended me a site where to compare ticket prices for free before purchasing. And I really find this a good idea.

Of course, an artist’s tickets such Madonna must be pricy, but I do like to look for the cheapest ones because my purse is thin and can’t afford some prices.

Per-fumed again. Most perfume is made with synthetic and toxic chemicals. The pages of the 2008 VF issue was laced with this toxic respiratory goo. I'd looked forward to reading this issue, however as soon as I opened it I new it had to go immediately to the radioactive bin. VF is 2/2, two years of par-fuming their "green" issue.

What is even worse is that they custom made that globe... out of polystyrene!
