Oh, and w00t, first answer. Lol, so far treehugger readers have got it 100%.
Unfortunately the silk worms are also boiled alive. As well, many of the people who weave the silk end up with horrible vision problems - just another part of the clothing industry that needs an overhaul!
You conveniently leave out that the silkworm is still inside the cocoon when it is boiled, and therefore killed.
630 lives for one blouse? Even if you don't think they're smart enough to reason, the amount of pain they feel times 630 is way to high to reason ethically.
