I guess with all the calories in Big Mack. Its good to encourage people to burn it.
This has been around for a few years; I didn't realize it was sponsored by mcdonalds. Everything else in Millenium Park has a donor name attached, so I guess it fits in now...
I don't think there is a Mcdonalds nearby, they're just the ones who put up the cash.
I don't understand... what's wrong with riding outside?
It's not an indoor riding facility, it's an indoor bike parking facility.
as great of an entity this is to chicago. Im afraid its in a poor location to get maximum/ efficient use. Its nowhere near any of the trains. Its not really in walking distance to anywhere that most people work. This facility will be best used for weekend bikers and visitors to Chicago. Great idea, but please next time, give us something that we can actually use. Thanks!
I have a membership at the bike station and find it very convenient - it's clean and only 4 blocks from my office, which is closer than any gym. It's not fancy, but it doesn't need to be - and it's used almost exclusively by commuters, not tourists. I don't mind the McDonald's name if it saves taxpayer money - besides, anyone who's traveled much knows that the bathrooms at McDonald's are always the cleanest.
