How many people are killed by the disparity in bumper heights?
Mandating a uniform bumper height might make small cars safer (and big cars lower to the ground with improved aerodynamics and fuel efficiency for free)
Big doesn't mean safe, just as small doesn't mean unsafe.

That's interesting, since at 52, your parents would definitely be retired. If they're better off than you are at this stage in your life... you're screwed.
We'll be doing this the other way around in a couple of years. My wife's father will be moving in with us after we combine our assets and find a suitable home with an in-law suite.
