SMITH + TreeHugger Six Word Memoir Contest
Time is running out. You only have until the end of today, February 18th, to enter TreeHugger and SMITH Magazine's Six Word Memoir Contest. We want to know your green journey, but we're only giving you six words to say it. So, head on over to our contest page to see other TreeHugger readers' memoirs and sign up to give us yours. You could win an iPod nano engraved with your memoir, a Planet Earth DVD set, or a copy of SMITH's new book, Not Quite What I Was Planning: Six Word Memoirs from Writers Famous and Obscure.

Need some examples to jump-start your brain? Check out the Not Quite What I Was Planning video.

ABOUT THE BOOK
Not Quite What I Was Planning: Six-Word Memoirs by Writers Famous & Obscure collects almost 1,000 six-word memoirs, including additions from many celebrities including Stephen Colbert, Jane Goodall, Dave Eggers, and more. Surprisingly addictive, Not Quite is both a moving peek at the minutia of humanity and the most literary toilet reading you’ll ever find.

Boring legal stuff:

By submitting an entry, you are granting SMITH and TreeHugger the right to reprint or republish that entry online or in print. See SMITH's terms for complete details.

This contest ends February 18,2008. Prizes are not redeemable for cash and must be accepted as awarded. Winners are decided at the discretion of SMITH judges and all decisions are final. SMITH reserves the right to change the contest rules. Enter as often as you want. SMITH reserves the right to reprint or republish all entries.
