Green Porno at Berlin Film Festival

Now it can truly be said: the word "green" has been extended to cover every possible marketing niche. The proof: "Green Porno", short films currently showing at the Berlin Film Festival, the Berlinale. The films are the brainchild of Isabella Rossellini, who directed and performed in a series of shorts designed to play on mobile phones, perhaps in a nod to the growing market for traditional porn in this format. Rossellini, who has been honored as a champion of the environment, stars as eight different insects doing, well, you know, what the birds and the bees do.
At the Berlinale, the shorts are shown in cases resembling terrariums on screens which appear to be lodged in tree trunks or in the mouth of a frog. “I was always fascinated by the infinite, strange and 'scandalous' ways that insects copulate,” says Rossellini for the Berlinale program. Maybe Rossellini can apply for the next playboy magazine sexy environmental women search. Sexy insect women search?
