Sheesh – it seems to be StreetFilms’ month on TreeHugger. From raised cross-walks to chicanes to cycling sasquatches to the inspirational Mary Beth Kelly, we just can’t get enough of these inspiring movies. But how could we resist posting one more time when Clarence contacted us about what they believe to be the first-ever documented Bike Move in NYC? For more Bike Moves, check out our posts here, here and here. May NYC see many more of these to come. The guy's reaction who is moving by van is hilarious! ::StreetFilms::via tipster Clarence::

What about in the days before cars?
where, oh where are their helmets?!
Great idea - I love that trailer. Years ago I did part of a short move on my rolling office chair.
Hmm, I used to live just a couple of houses from the Ft Greene place, but had to move 6 years ago. The neighborhood was getting so gentrified we just couldn't afford to stay...
It also discourages pack-rattin [w?]. Knowing you'll have to carry it on a bike next time you move is definitely something that would stay on your mind when you're considering purchasing an obscenely large... anything, or clutter. So it creates this whole network of green choices, not just using the bike alone.
use a bike like taxi, like transport, to move to some place to other...
Whats the new Here?
The point is bike vs car in the City, and in Short moves.
This video is great! A couple years ago I pared all of my belongings down to two suitcases for are move from the US to the UK. I should have went even more minimalist and rode my bike (to the nearest port at least). I like the social thing here, as well. It brought lots of people together, and made the move fun.
