Arasy: Organic Cotton from Paraguay

Since availability of organic cotton garments is not as common in Latin America as it is in the United States or Europe, we're glad to see new alternatives coming in, more so if they come from an unusual country.
These shirts are produced by Arasy, a company from Paraguay whose name means 'mother of creation' in indigenous language guarani (spoken in rural areas of this country). According to the company, garments are produced 100% in Paraguay, from the seed to the item, under organic procedures and a fair trade environment with small groups of local workers.

With its respectful practices in the land, Arasy also claims to be contributing to the conservation of the Guarani aquifer, located under its cultivations.
Their group of products includes shirts, pants and t-shirts for both men and women, organic wool and weavings, and a set of oils and grains (organic soy, among them).
Arasy's products can be found in Paraguay and Germany. In its home country, the brand sells at its own store (Mc Mahon 5368 c/ Rca. Argentina), a shop called Nueva Americana (Independencia Nacional y Mcal. Estigarribia), and at Unicentro (Estrella y 15 de Agosto). Its client in Germany is El Puente.
The brand has also sold a set of t-shirts to the Italian Parco Nazionale Dolomiti Bellunesi (in Italian).
They can be contacted via their website.
