Would be a boring world.....
If you go to Cuba - before it becomes another outpost of the American commercial machine - there are NO adverts at all - not on tv, no billboards, nothing! other than ones for the regime... It is VERY refreshing...
But how do consumers become informed about products, useful or not? The image is beautiful though.
My partner and I we sick of being walking advertisements because we choose to use reusable bags, so we created our own bags that say “I am not your BILLBOARD.” You can see our bags at: Whats your footprint!
I don't know the exact details, but isn't advertising banned (or at least exremely limited) in Bhutan on the Gross National Happiness principle?
