Those Londoners who didn’t receive a gift-wrapped G-Wiz for Christmas may still be in with a chance of owning one in 2008, as GoinGreen’s January sale is just getting up to speed. Ex-demonstration and courtesy dc and ac drive G-Wiz are in the sale and prices start as low as £2,999 (about US$6000). During the sale period GoinGreen is also offering free leather seats, worth £499 (about US$1000), on the latest version of the popular little electric commuter vehicle, the all new G-Wiz i:

The GoinGreen sale starts on 5 January and continues until stock runs out or on 31 January, whichever is the sooner. Full details on all the G-Wiz models in the sale can be found on the GoinGreen website and they can be purchased online or by visiting the GoinGreen depot in Southall, which is open on Saturdays.

When charged with electricity from renewable sources, the emissions impact of a G-Wiz is a saving of virtually 100% (well-to-wheel figure equates to 63gms C02/km). The G-Wiz enjoys many benefits including free parking and recharging in the City of Westminster, which has introduced some on-street recharging points as well as those located in Westminster’s car parks. For the price of a tank of petrol, the G-Wiz can be run for a year on electricity and it is also in insurance group 1; the lowest. G-Wiz is also exempt from the London Congestion Charge and this savings package can equate to £8,000 per annum.
