Glow in the Dark Bike From Puma
by Lloyd Alter, Toronto
on 01.29.08

We showed the Puma by Biomega a few years ago; it is an interesting folding bike with a tension cable instead of a tube, that you can disconnect so that nobody can steal your bike and ride it away.
Now they have introduced a glow-in-the-dark version- the frame's glowing paint sucks up sunlight during the day and lets it loose after the sun sets. We hope that it is not made with encapsulated tritium like the last glowing bike we saw. ::Device

im doing a project for school i was wonder what you guys thought of the bike being part of a bike sharing program in chicago.
do you think its cool?
do u think its green? or good for the earth.
thank you
bikes for bike sharing programs should really be designed specifically to each city and for sharing in general. This is a nice bike, but most ppl who would use a sharing program, esp in a city like chicago, might opt for comfort bikes or a beach cruiser deal
Studies show that drunk drivers veer toward illuminated objects, transfixed like a deer in the headlights.
what about the black one? do u like that one?
with out the glow in the dark, also our project is more toward the commuter. not the tourist thanks for your comments:)
