The Solarcentury team have been winning accolades once again, this time snapping up the prestigious Rushlight Award for Solar Power for their CompleteSolarRoof product, a system that combines solar electric and solar hot water capacity in what looks like regular roofing tiles. The Rushlight Awards are a new event designed to promote, recognise and celebrate environmental technology and innovation by organizations throughout UK and Ireland. Clive Hall, Chief Executive at Eventure Media, who are the creators and organizers of the event, was deeply impressed by the Solarcentury offering:

“The quality and number of entries for the Solar Power Award category was staggering. Solarcentury was successful due to the quality and sophistication of the technology that was infinitely more advanced and developed than a number of competitors.”

Solarcentury aren’t resting on their laurels though. Having recently opened offices in Spain, the company has now also completed its first installations in France - these guys are clearly setting their sites on becoming an international player on the solar scene. ::Solarcentury::via site visit::

Well done to Solarcity for a well deserved win.
Treehugger - I know I'm beginning to sound like a broken record but... how about more info on your posts - who were the runners up, how much does it cost, special features, number of sites using it, ROI, etc.

Sweet, people are starting to prepare for the revolution.

*sheeeeeesh!*

Shouldn't this have happened ten years ago, though?

Congrats Solar Century. It's great that solar technolgy is beginning a strong push to becoming more available, and hopefully less expensive.

A new HeliVolt facility is set to begin production of it's patented solar skin, yet another example of solar technology making waves.
