TiWalkMe: The 1000-Year Old Forest Clock

Conceptualized by physicist, designer, entrepreneur and former Bell Labs chief scientist Greg Blonder, TiWalkMe is an ever-shifting forest where you can experience the passage of time through the annual planting of trees.
Spanning 1,000 years, the escapement is time made visible, or, in the words of its inventor, a "forest which is at heart an enormous clock, slowly ticking out the pace of life, resetting our own sense of time and space, with a horizon swept out to a millennia."
Just some of the possible sites a TiWalkMe can be grown: Abandoned railways, brownfields, strip mines, canals, and decommissioned military bases. ::TiWalkMe

I hope they're not cutting down the old forest behind it? that'd be neat seeing how it aged as you went back further.
