Lovingly cradle your precious electronic cargo—and protect it from accidental spills and drops—with one of Passenger Pigeon's chic and contemporary organic-cotton laptop sleeves.

Starting at $66 and available in two sizes (15 inches and 17 inches), the lightly padded sleeves come in either gray or orange fabric, peppered with miniature birds and wind turbines, respectively. ::Reform School

While this looks really pretty, and would undoubtedly be environment friendly, I guess $66 to pay for a laptop sleeve is pretty hefty. I could buy a great laptop bag with the same amount!

Also, is there a version for guys? This looks pretty feminine to me, and I would think that guys would want an environmentally friendly laptop sleeve too.

Umm. Cotton absorbs moisture. Not the material I would choose to surround electronic equipment. There are other companies (Timbuk2 and Keen come to mind). That make bags from more computer friendly post consumer materials... and remember: in the environmental poker game post-consumer re-purposed material beats new organic.

An excellent alternative is the TREAD laptop sleeve. I love it and I get lots of really positive comments.

It's made out of recycled Columbian truck tires and has a clean, quality design thats extremely durable and waterproof. It has a slick red interior padding and has a really high quality zipper. Its around $100.00 but I think this thing will last 100 years. Its really that good.
