Brastilo: Eco-Friendly Furniture, Home Accessories from Brazil

Freshly launched in time for the holiday season is Brastilo, a new line of home furnishings and accessories from Brazil. Each piece of Brastilo's furniture is crafted from native woods harvested from sustainably managed forests in southern Brazil, using traditional woodworking and finger-joint techniques.

Fun fact: One of the first Brazilian companies awarded carbon credits under the Kyoto Protocol, Brastilo currently cultivates more than 40,500 acres a year in pine forests raised expressly for furniture-making, so the country's rainforests remain intact. ::Brastilo
