Plant ‘O’ Matic Puts Your Plants in the Sunlight

pz-TH-plantOmatic.jpgDo your plants not get enough sun during the day? Plant ‘O’ Matic is the solution! A flowerpot on wheels equipped with solar panels allows the plants to roll themselves into the sun. We found this object at Stereonoise, the inventor’s studio run by Pep Torres in Barcelona, Spain. Unfortunately there’s not much information available but this idea definitely has potential- not just for letting plants find the sun. Kind of fun idea but wouldn't you need expanses of smooth paving to run this thing? Why not keep the plant stationary and use mirrors to redirect the sunlight to your plants? A lot less hardware and easy maintenance, maybe not as fun.

Isn't this a bit like buying a hybrid SUV? It just seems a little weird to be buying something to fix your poor planting planning.

As someone who has both a large expanse of poured concrete for floors and an infamously black thumb...this is a great little gadget :-)

File this one under "Totally Unnecessary Invention."

Can't you just pick the plant up and move it?
