Gaye Abandon's Recycled Sweater Arm Warmers

It's not exactly glove and mitten weather yet (or T-shirt temperatures, for our Southern Hemisphere readers), but you can still keep your arms, wrists, and palms toasty with these arm warmers handmade from recycled wool sweaters. Felted to create a tight, wind- and chill- proof weave, these snug $25 gauntlets are both one of a kind and one size fits most.

Not trying to be rude, but I cant see someone paying $25 for the arms sweaters that cost less then that for the entire sweater.

whats wrong with using the whole jumper and donating it to charity instead of wasting time cutting it up?

I'd guess this is meant to use up arms on sweaters that are otherwise worn out. I had a problem with moths a few years ago and did something similar to this with all my suddenly-unwearable sweaters.

I'm not sure I'd pay $25 for a pair, though.

i've seen similar pieces (by gsus and other higher fashion) sold all over town for up to $45. that's ridiculous. these are hand made and quite charming.

this post inspires me to reuse and make some of my own.
thank you!

I think you arm warmers are so damn funky and cool...and the fact your recycling, helping do your part to prevent land fill mass and slave labour!! , gaye im a fashion, art student and im recycling salvaged goods from opshops, trash etc to make sylish accessories like arm warmers, jewellery showing people how cool and easy it is, and to stop being so damn lazy and just get into it, stop consuming so much slave laboured crap thats just destroying our world when its so much cheaper and easyier to do it yourself and im reasearching other designers. as well what an insperation you are and the prices are grat for what theyre all about! keep it up !! your awsum
