Calling all TreeHuggin’ go-getters! Learn a thing or two from TreeHugger’s President, Ken Rother, and Discovery’s SVP of Communications, Annie Howell, who will speak at PRWeek’s October 3rd event, Target Green. The day-long event will be held in Washington, DC and will feature remarks from GM’s “chief environmental officer,” representatives from Proctor & Gamble, Gap, Inc., Canon, the US Green Building Council, Clear Channel and the EPA.
“This event combines blue-chip companies, government agencies, and NGOs, all of whom are devoting significant resources to both the operational and communicative aspects of the green movement,” says Julia Hood, PRWeek’s editor-in-chief. “By attending panels on carbon offsets, successful green messaging, voluntary governmental partnerships, and sustainability reporting, we hope attendees will leave with both real-life examples of successful campaigns and the ability to better understand how to approach their own initiatives.”
If you work within the socially responsible marketing and/or ad-sales sphere, or, if you are hoping to (network, baby!), there will most definitely be something to satisfy your green biz tooth. To register, click here.

I'm all for big conferences in the name of being green, but $895 is a little rich for my blood.
