Is Adrian Grenier playing Professor Higgins to Paris Hilton’s Eco-Eliza?

We certainly hope so. These pals have about as much in common as Al Gore and Donald Trump, though lately they’ve been spotted spending a good deal of time together. The green celeb-blog Ecorazzi is tracking the pair’s activities and has spotted them in some rather un-compromising positions: cruising in a Prius, attending ForestEthics premier of the 11th Hour, and scoping out a new eco-friendly home for Paris.

The star of the hit HBO series Entourage, Adrian Grenier agrees with TH readers that celebs bringing attention to the green cause can help make a difference, telling Paris: “You're the most photographed woman in the world. Think what you could do if you used that attention to bring light to a cause.” Smart move working the ex-con heiress’s ego to move her in a more sustainable direction.

What gives Mr. Grenier the credentials to transform Ms. Hilton from an eco-simpleton to a green savant? Adrian Grenier has been a study of sustainable living since long before it was the cause du jour. In a 1999 interview, the young man on the verge of celebrity waxed theoretical on the product service system possibilities for lost and found bins: "I think winter wear is communal," he said. "You get some gloves and a scarf from a lost-and-found box, wash them, wear them for a while until you lose them. Then somebody else does the same thing." (ivillage.com).

More importantly, since his recent rise to fame Adrian has been walking the talk of eco-sensitive living. Working with his mom Adrian took on the task of learning about and implementing environmentally-responsible home renovation projects including; radiant heat, reclaimed wood floors, denim insulation, and solar panels. And that was just the beginning… he’s also a proud Prius driving, eco-TV program directing, green party DJ’ing Lean Green Sexy Machine!

“I try to eat free range organic foods. I try and walk if I can, which is why I love New York. Take a train. My home is a green home. To me I look at it as an investment and the things may cost a little bit more but ultimately it pays for itself. And then it gives you low emissions and its good for the environment. So people invest in all sorts of bizarre things. Why not invest in the quality of life?” (Crave Online).

Reading a bit about Adrian and learning about his personal crusade to bring meaning to the celebrity experience (for the stars as well as for the common good), TreeHuggers might dare to hope that Paris will indeed go green.

Now Paris, repeat after me: "In Hertford, Hereford and Hampshire, hurricanes hardly ever happened before a build up of green house gases altered global weather patterns.”

Well, for my part, I'm thrilled Ms. Hilton has decided to lend her "image" to ForestEthics... it means we might finally get the big print media house like Hearst, Hachette and CondeNast to pay ATTENTION when we ask please, pretty please, WALK THE TALK... PRINT ON RECYCLED STOCK!!!

Well, at least there's another "celebrity" who would care about the enviroment. I never thought Paris Hilton would...funny. Anyways, I think the 11th hour freaked her out or something.
