Instant Contest: Win Two Tickets to Fashion Takes Action

by Lloyd Alter, Toronto on 09.25.07
Take Action (events)

fashionbig.jpgWe have mentioned the oh-so-green Fashion Takes Action show in Toronto on September 26th; it is "a fashion show with some of Canada's top designers using sustainable fabrics from SYKA made from soy, bamboo, hemp, organic cotton and wild silk, all in support of Environmental Defence."

We have two tickets (worth C$110 each) to give away at noon on the 26th; send in a comment describing what you will wear to the show. Greenest wardrobe wins the pair. Be sure to put your real email address in the comment form, it does not show up on the site. More on the event at ::Fashion Takes Action

I would be wearing a wrap-skirt of my own design made from hemp and a my grannie's vintage cashmere sweater. I am waiting for the "Earth Angel" shoes from Fluevog to get to my small-town so I can buy them, but not likely that I would get them in time for the show.

PS, it's SYKA textiles (and the performer is Larra Skye, funny coincidence.)

Hmmm, Since Global Warming has given us the hottest week in Toronto for fall, (32.8C) breaking a 49-year-old weather record set in 1958, when the high was 28.3C.

I guess I would wear something really light, like my beige bamboo sundress.... Cheers!

I will be wearing an outfit made entirely of gorgeous green leaves.
