In An Absolut World...Everything is Downloadable

Absolut is running an interesting campaign called "In an Absolut World" where artists, websites and anyone over 21 years old submit visions of a better world. They range from "there would be a weather remote" to "Undo" would work in real life. Thrillist is having a spam-writing contest, wishing that "in an absolut world, all your spam would be true."
TreeHugger was asked to participate and, of course, contribute a blog. We had some fun with a theme we have been following for a while on TreeHugger: downloadable designs.
In an Absolut world, we will download design on demand. It is like the music for our iPod; dematerialized bits and bytes put together again where we need it, without the waste of a physical intermediary. We have gathered together many of the flatpack designs from TreeHugger and the designers have provided 1/6 scale PDFs that you can download and build your own models of their furniture. Watch for daily updates at ::In an Absolut world, everything is downloadable.

So Abosulut Vodka has payed you to write this post, or what? :S
I believe at one time most of the woodworking magazines and either Popular Mechanics and Popular Science had single sheet plywood design projects . . . .
Simon's comment is right on the money (so to speak). When did Team Treehugger begin sponsoring any product -- especially hard liquor? Alcoholism is a serious problem in this country costing us all many millions of dollars to say nothing of the lives lost to drunk driving or drinking-related abuse to children and spouses. Isn't it the goal of Team Treehugger to promote things that make our lives better and more healthy?
I'm not clear on why TreeHugger is promoting a vodka-marketing company. Would TreeHugger also promote McDonald's or Exxon if they had a "better world" campaign?
Is this a sign of what we can expect to see now that TreeHugger has been bought by a major media conglomerate...
So Treehugers, seemingly an ecologically-hip enterprise is now supporting an addictive, life-destroying drug that kills more people and ruins more lives than all the illegal drugs combined.
Is there a contradiction here? Save the World while killing its inhabitants? Is this an attempt to reduce overpopulation??
This was the response I got from the author: (edited out because it was a personal email to this commenter by the author)
I have nothing against paid advertisement blog posts but they need to be clearly marked as paid blog posts.
This blog post (and this one) is a paid one but it's not said anywhere it's advertisement, which is BAD.
Treehugger could at least promote a real eco friendly compa ny. This is just more greenwash like Exxon and that tiger mascot they got!
Heard Treehugger got bought out by Discovery Communications. This is what we get. More corporate propaganda!
