French General's Natural Hemp Roller Blinds

J'adore French General's natural hemp roller blinds, which are luminously bright, low-key, and ooh-la-la elegant. Four 1/8-inch poles are sewn into the pre-washed fabrics for strength and folding, all ready for mounting onto your windows. Includes hardware and instructions.

If you're a do-it-yourselfer with a taste for flair, French General also sells a gorgeous 59-inch-wide handprinted summer hemp, Oiseaux Bleux, in a blue-and-white toile pattern featuring birds, butterflies, and botanicals. Tres chic, non? ::French General

I am sorry but at $250.00 for a single blind, this type of "green" is not practical. The hard sell of environmentalism is the expense of change. This certainly will not get me to embrace the "wonders of hemp" anytime soon.

It seems like another company is trying to cash-in on the somewhat newfound popularity of the green movement. Rather than spend $250 on just window blinds, there are some cheaper ways listed here to keep out the heat and lower your AC costs.

I ordered four of these hemp roman blinds for my summer cottage on Catalina Island. Not only are they superbly made (right here in Los Angeles) but they are sustainable as well! I support these small companies trying to make a difference by using hemp instead of cotton -yes it is more expensive, but that's only because our government does not allow hemp crops to be grown legally! Too much of the reefer madness scare is still alive and well in Washington, DC! Once the government is making a buck off of the hemp industry - then the price will come down...wait and see James and Jay!
A very happy customer-
