It is completely scary, watching the stats on prison growth, illegal immigration, species extinct and forests lost increasing before your eyes. Bizarrely, the creator says "although I find the theory of global warming highly debatable, I have included stats according to the expected temperature rise" which makes one wonder-he believes in the stats but not the cause of them? Why isn't abortion listed as a cause of death and added to the total?!
Whether abortion is killing aside, THERE IS NO DEATH TALLY!
it's my understanding that cancer incidence is much higher in the USA than in other countries. I'd be interested in seeing those numbers.
abortions occur before birth, and therefore are not included in the "world population" category; population is a measurement of children and adults, not a collection of cells/fetuses.
It seems to me that the same people who denounce abortion as immoral should change their stance on condom use. After all, as they say about cancer: "Prevention is the best cure."

the reason whomever made this would believe the statistics but not the cause is evidenced by only listing growth in "illegal immiigrants" as opposed to immigration growth in general, both legal and illegal, also shown by using statistics on mothers dying from abortions (which fyi the vast majority of women who die from abortions die from abortions in places where it is illegal or where there is not an accessible affordable abortion provider. legal abortions done by trained professionals have similiar mortality rates to any other major invasive surgery) but not statistics on women who die during childbirth/from pregnancy related complications, which is far more dangerous and has a far higher mortality rate than safe legal abortions.
the person who compiled this clock has an obvious hateful right wing agenda, and while i kno tree hugger isnt partisan, seeing these sort of statistics promoted on a site ive been reading for over a year now physically turned my stomach.
despite a comment i left after the green apple festival informing treehugger that the music venue i at the time worked at, while participating in the event, had not recycled a thing, generated more trash than usual due to all the fliers and pamplets handed out, and still used the standard highly toxic cleaning products, despite this comment never being posted, i came back to the site for the information i could gather here. now, i may not return.
