Variety is the Spice of Life: Six Part Vintage Coffee Table

TreeHugger loves it when one thoughtful design can take the place of many less functional pieces. Such is the case with Peter Hvidt and Olga Molgaard-Nielsen's vintage coffee table; the piece built in sextuplicate is up to just about any decorating challenge. All together, the pieces form a coffee table that's a pinwheel of fun; separately, they combine to build snaky side tables, nesting end tables, or up to six separate (but matching) tables that could be scattered about for a party and then joined up again for a glass of wine in front of the TV. Hit the jump to see just a few of the sleek possibilities offered by such a design. ::1stDibs via ::Design Milk

I've become more of a minimalist recently I don't see the need for a coffee table. That was one of those things we were told by our parents we had to have when we got married as well as all the knick knacks and other things that never did anything but take space. So wasteful. When got rid of our coffee table a couple years ago and realized we don't need it. now I look at other peoples houses and see they exist only to hold junk, stop wasting $ and resources on the junk and you don't need a table to hold the junk.
Just Shut it! I don't care about your simplicities... Comment about the design, the conveniences, what it could be used for. But most peoples comments here are how they could do it better, or how they think it is wrong, or just a bunch of jibberish.
Come on folks, bend over, grab your neck and pull your head out!
This table is absolutly amazing! The design is genious! I would love to have something like this in my place. Is it a coffee table or like a kitchen height table. Either way, You can go from regular to fun and playful! LOVE IT!
