Kitchen Cart by Muji -- There's a Whole Kitchen in There!

TreeHugger is a fan of smart use of a compact space, making a lot from a little and creating function from a previously unused area. You get all of that from this handy little kitchen cart from Muji. The erstwhile "Japanese IKEA" has managed to nearly fit an entire kitchen into this diminutive cart, giving you a flat workspace, two drawers, a double-door cabinet and shelving on the back. It probably wouldn't do for a family of five, but would be indispensable in something like the Micro-Compact Home. As we continue to aim to pare down living to maximize function and minimize extraneous stuff, objects like this kitchen kart will become increasingly important and valuable. It's available from the MoMA store now; New Yorkers can pick one up at the new Muji store starting later this year. ::MoMA via ::Blue Ant Studio

pretty cool
This is nit picking, but not really. Bad news, Ikea is a particle board product made with formaldahyde. The chemical reaction in turning formaldehyde into a glue resin is highly complex, doing extreme environmental damage. This is a poison. Next, the particle is manufactured. the person manufacturing said product is subject to dust and soaking of chems through the skin. these are known carcinagins and mutoids. This is fact. If you care about space and waste, do not buy Ikea. Call a carpenter who uses recycled goods or non plywood, particle board goods. If they are good they will recieve a job and you will recieve a piece of funiture which will outlast any composite piece you can find cheap in some glossy magazine. Heres to never buying because it is cheap. Your unmutated cells will thank you.
I'm using this article cause I couldn't find the submit comment thing under the article which spured this thought.
1. where will the water stop I live in hartford conneticut I visit adrian's landing and wonder after global warming has raised the sea will my home
be flooded ? no one has done a closeup view of impact to all the coastly cities they only care about washington DC. How will my world change?!!
2. this might piss some people off ,however I must asking the question. Has anyone tried mixing the fake meat with the real meat? this thing we as spiecies are tring to do isn't just to repair the enviroment or even to spread global understanding
it's evolutionary manipulation.
the fish didn't just deside to walk on land they had to adapt to it with many transitional forms
if as the vegans say ;vegi is the only way . Then
the desire to eat meat must be gradually phased out of the majority population.
I'm not a vegan or a vegi ,but I'm willing to bet
that with creative recipes and time everyone could be eating 70% vegi+ meat products by 2010
Or is that going too far ? what an idea no more excluion all sides vegan, vegi and meat working together for a change.

This is just a kitchen cart. I got something like it at Linens & Things 3 years ago. Big Deal.
i love muji as much as the next guy (maybe more), but how useful is a kitchen cart that is only 27" high? i've heard of compact living, but that's ridiculous.
