...if you can keep up with my Storck Fascenario 0.8, that is! The stiffer and shinier successor to the world's lightest bicycle (Fascenario 0.7) is one of the many novelties that will be premiered at the Eurobike 2007 International Bike Convention, starting Thursday 30 August in Friedrichshafen, Germany.
Diddie Schneider, Germany's leading biking course designer, has laid out the terrain for testing, training and competitions at the convention center. Other highlights include
- Eurobike fashion show - bamboo bike clothing will be featured, of course;
- the Eurobike Awards;
- Eurobike Holiday on Bike Travel Show; and
- the Eurobike party.
Eurobike 2007 promises over 800 vendors. Due to the incredible growth of this convention, visitors in 2007 will get a special treat: part of the show will be held in the Zeppelin hangar area. Friedrichshafen boasts a modern successor of the floating airship which was invented here. The airship carries passengers for tours over Lake Constance, as well as conducting environmental tests for the "Institute for the Chemistry and Dynamics of the Geosphere".
