Driving Me Up The Wall: Bicycle Storage
by Warren McLaren, Sydney on 08. 9.07

There are many reasons, rationales, justifications, excuses, etc, why many of us don’t ride bikes—leaping instead into our cars when mobility is required. They range from “I get sweaty”, through to “the roads are too dangerous, have you seen what drivers do out there?” But the other day the New York Times helped strip away one of the other pretexts for avoiding pedal power: “but I’ve no where to store a bike.” NYT’s Personal Shopper went and ferreted out some funky storage options that will get a bike out from under your feet. See their lil slideshow for some cool tips. Via ::New York Times

Great article, thanks. However, the link is broken (uses hhttp instead of http).
Might want to fix the link, there is an extra 'h' in http:
Anybody who knows me knows I don't just "get sweaty." Normal people "get sweaty." I'm the type of person who will break a sweat folding clothes in a 72 degree house. If I tried to ride a bike, especially on days like today where the heat index is over 100 degrees Farenheit, I would look like I just dumped a bucket of salt water over my body. And the smell wouldn't be far off from a bucketful of brine.
Any energy savings I gain by not riding my 80 mpg scooter would be trumped by the two or three showers a day I'd have to take to maintain a socially-acceptable olfactory level.
