We all still have friends and family who are skeptical on global warming. This video gives a clear meaning as to how carbon dioxide can add up in your own home. According to the Alliance for Climate Protection, the ad ran last month on Larry King Live in hopes that viewers could easily understand the link between current energy usage and the climate crisis. I like the commercial. However, when we are dealing with doubt surrounding the issue, often we encounter doubt as to the causes of current global warming. Ads like these, which simply assume that greenhouse gases are causing most if not all of it (and they are, don't get me wrong) won't be bought by people who want to know why these conclusions have been reached. They want to know why and how, not simply spoon fed. This commercial is a good one, but it won't reach a good many people that are still swayed by contrarian arguments, no matter how bad these arguments are. More than this, they will not be swayed by "X is funded by vested interests" because,

1) they have been told to challenge such arguments, and
2) they probably have good reason to be suspicious of such arguments, especially when that's the only answer to their questions that is given.
