Welcome to The Island: Five Piece Lounge/Bed Combo

TreeHugger never tires of finding new and different ways to simplify our need for stuff. In addition to showing that smart, thoughtful design can improve our lives while reducing the amount of stuff we need, it's just damn cool that one piece can do the work of two or three. The latest example is "The Island", a clever, ultra-mod set from Moon Design that looks like it'd fit in on the designer's namesake. The four lounge chairs and a table that'd be a good start to a cocktail party all come together to form one big island of a bed, allowing for a quick-n-easy transition from lounge to bed and back again.
