Survey: Have Your Travel Plans Changed?

It is 110 degrees F in Greece and Italy. You need scuba gear to visit Oxford. Record breaking temperatures are frying California and British Columbia (and there is a garbage strike in Vancouver). There is a flood watch at Lake Tahoe. Jenna tells us that there are blackouts in Barcelona. The Irish Independent's headline: "Britain Sinks as Europe Sizzles."
To top it all off, flying is dying and gas is over three bucks a gallon. What's a TreeHugger to do?

My travel plans changed a few years ago after a couple times flying. Even before 9/11 being treated like a criminal just to get o a smelly crowded airplace to stare at the bald head of the person whose seat is reclined into your lap for a few hours.
There is so much to see within the borders of my own country I don't see the point in flying to another one anyway. Even is I camped every single night in a state or national park I still wouldn't see every place in my lifetime.
I only travel as needed to begin with.It is not the price of gas that concerns me.It is diesel.I get 25-30 mpg in my bronco.
Also the only reason i travel is work related. And can be expensed out at tax time.
