Organic Food Bars

Somehow we missed these until now. 100% certified organic bars. Take for example the raw cinnamon-raisin model. It’s ingredients list is: “Organic Cashew Butter, Organic Dates, Organic Premium Agave Nectar, Organic Brown Rice Protein, Organic Biodynamic (Demeter) Raisins, Organic BioSprouts-Quinoa, Organic BioSprouts-Flax, Organic Cinnamon and Lots of Love.” The company established in 2001 has offices in California, as well as near Vienna, Austria, where they say organic certification is particularly strict. The line includes their standard bars, a bunch of raw bars, and some especially for kids. We note in their FAQ that the wrappers are also said to be environmentally friendly, but didn’t alight on what this means in practice. But, hey, if they can make food bars containing organic broccoli sprouts, plus organic beet and carrot juice (!), we assume they can figure out a wrapper. (Though the proposed move into sportswear does seem slightly more of a stretch.) ::Organic Food Bar.

And, yes, we have covered other bars like Clif Bar, Larabar, Natural Emphasis, Matisse & Jacks before.

I think the highlight here for me is that they are Raw. TH may want to look into this counter-culture. I have lost 45-lbs in three months on a raw vegan diet and feel my healthiest.

Finding a raw item like this is an especially sweet treat.

Thanks.

I'm glad that the ingredients list is fairly whole, brown rice protein excepted. I'd certainly eat this over a Clif bar, although there are other bars (such as the superb Larabars mentioned) that are even more pure.
