Instructables, Popular Science and TreeHugger's "Go Green!" Contest

TreeHugger has teamed up with Instructables and Popular Science to bring you the Go Green! contest. We want to know how you're reducing your environmental footprint, and hopefully saving some cash in the process. Are you modding your gear, simplifying your life, or building something awesome? Tell us what you're doing to go green, and teach us how -- share what you know! Whether you're making your own microwavable mitten warmers, building a 1000 Watt wind turbine, stitching up a cloth grocery bag or hammering together some recycled modular shelving, this is all about DIY ingenuity and making the most of what we've got. So, reduce, reuse, repurpose, recycle, and rebuild, then show us what you are doing to make your life a little bit greener! Need more ideas? The deadline for entries is August 19, 2007 (get all the details here) and the judging panel will include head TreeHuggers Graham Hill and Ken Rother and Voltaic Systems CEO Shayne McQuade (who is also a member of TreeHugger's Board of Advisors). The grand prize winner will receive a Breezer Liberty hybrid commuter bicycle with pedal-powered lights, a brief write-up in a future issue of Popular Science, and a 1-year subscription to Popular Science magazine.
