Credit Card Cutlery at the Cooper Hewitt

Design & Architecture (less is more)

credit_card_cutlery282_image2.jpgWe love flatpack designs, and here is one so portable and clever that it can fit in your wallet. Never again will you have to take disposable plastic cutlery from the takeout joint; now you can take it out of your wallet, dine, and fold them up and put them back. Designed and manufactured by Ineke Hans of the Netherlands.

Personally I take the plastic take out utinsiles. I find they can be washed and re-used many times, sometimes out lasting the cheap quality metal utinsiles sold in every store which rust aafter a few washings. So instead of buying silverware for home I just take the plastic ones offered to me, use them, wash them and place them in the drawer and use them again and again. After getting a bunch at home I took a handful to work and use in the office now instead of taking more then I just carry those home and wash them and re-use some more.

Oh come on, chopsticks aren't that hard to learn & they tend to be made of a nice natural wood rather than polypropylene

jon, you must have a big wallet...

Sadly not CTP! But good point, how about 2 part chopsticks that screw together like a pool cue or more simply slot together with interlocking ends?!

Another smart idea! But I like the most is that it actually fits into my wallet...
