No, not "nuff said" this is the video that was digital changed. I heard about this one. You guys really need to check your facts. Who's backing the scientists who are claiming global warming is caused by humans? Oh, did you also see that article about SEVERAL scientists who believed in global warming but are now changing their theories???? Oh, and about people thinking we were going into an ice age 30 years ago!? I love our planet, animals, and all the beautiful things it has to offer. I do believe in respecting our earth and taking care of it. I'm just so sick of this one sided approach to global warming. There are PLENTY of other scientists who can disprove what people are being led to believe. Boy, Al Gore thinks we should have to purchase carbon credits....just another way to get into our pockets huh? At least you guys are sticking up for something you believe in I guess, just make sure the facts are not twisted to follow the Liberal agenda.

this is HEARTBREAKING.

What you say is all very credible Rebecca... not.

Dear Rebecca

let me guess, you are from the USA.

the rest of the world has been shouting at your country since the 1992 earth summit in Rio. Most of the rest of the world understands that global warming is due to mankinds actions and blind comsumerism. It is only the media that denies it is happening funded by multi national companies that need people like you to promote doubt, so that they can keep selling you what is the most damaging lifestyle on the planet and keep them rich and getting richer.

Comments like these make me sad. Not to mention,
"Boy, Al Gore thinks we should have to purchase carbon credits....just another way to get into our pockets huh? "

Which I think you need to review what carbon credits are, if you think it's just to get you to spend money.

As opposed to the multi national companies people like you throw your money at...

"There are PLENTY of other scientists who can disprove what people are being led to believe."

Haha, who? It's funny, cause scientists don't prove or disprove things, they give evidence with some sort of margin of error. People who 'prove' or 'disprove' things like this are quacks.

BTW, I'm from the USA, so not everyone from the USA are idiots... Although there's lots of em here.

Dear Headstrong,

Let me guess you are from London.

I bet you are guilty of the odd bit of consumerism now and again eh? Come on old boy, how many cars do you have or even houses for that matter?

Do you happen to have a Ph.D. in climatology? Perhaps not, but you certainly seem to have a finely honed dislike for our American cousins and a raging hatred for "multi-nationals"

Keep up the ranting old bean..

Toodle Pip!

Unfortunately, it isn't enough said.
Not only is Carbon Dioxide, we also neglet the large amounts of lead in the atmosphere, from Leaded gasoline, the CFC's that are still being released, etc. It's far more than just CO2

And I think that before you accuse people of being one sided, you should examine your and their sources. Who is the more reliable source? The ones paid by oil companies? I Think not.

jump to top Joe G. says:

Hiya Madass

good guess on the London bit ; )

of course I do a bit of consumerism ever now and again, we live in a consumer society, there is no escape from that, but I get most of my food from the local food coop that my wife helped to set up and other bits from a local farm that delivers to the door.

and for those that do not know me, yes, I have a car (1.5 diesel) and a van that I use for my job/volunteer work (freelance IT/recyling computers) and the kids, it is like a MPV. Can you even buy a car with a 1.5 diesel engine in the states ? I have 2 cottages knocked into one, both where very small houses.

It is not that I dislike all Americans (for a start I have lots of cousins over there) but I cant help but see the wasteful resouce intensive lifestyle that most Americans lead and then look at other parts of the world that live in total poverty and see the links between them.

"a raging hatred for "multi-nationals" well companies that go around the world polluting, breaching human rights, and with the help of the IMF killing thousands of the poorest people in the world and stealing their resources, yep, hate would be the right word.

Happy Father's Day!

Either way, just hope that it is not too late for the polar bears.

Global Warming is an undeniable 'Historical' fact. I am personally just curious what the Polar Bears did during the last, northern Hemisphere Global Warming, during the period between about 1100 to 1200 at the peak?

Greenland had a self sustaining population growing their own produce at that time. They froze out during the last cooling cycle around midway between 1450 to 1850. Polar Bears must have been in Polar Bear Paradise back then.

Say wasn't that when Europes great explorers also got frozen into the ice closing the Northwest Passage? they must not a have known about the cycles. They sure didn't know about Global Cooling.

This present warm cycle which began in about 1850, when the world population was about 1 billion, is due to peak in about the year 2050, about the same time 'Malthus Theory' will be tested. You know, the 10 billion world population mark? Hang on Polar Bears, the ride is going to get a little rough.

The overwhelming history of Earth is 'Warm'.
