This past Wednesday in a press release, Madonna announced that she has released a new song written especially for the Live Earth Concert on 7/7/07. Titled “Hey You,” which is available as an MP3 download exclusively through the MSN site, the song was recorded in London by Pharrell Williams and Madonna. She is one of seventeen headliners that have been announced to perform at Wembley Stadium in London as part of the 24-hour, 7-continent Live Earth Concert Series and will be singing “Hey You” live. Bonus! According to the press release, the first million downloads of “Hey You” will be free as Microsoft has pledged to donate $0.25 per download to the Alliance for Climate Protection for the first million downloads. However, we visited the MSN site and it looks like the download is free of charge for, or course, 7 days. This Madonna fan already downloaded it. ::MSN
