Fun, as long as readers are aware that the Keep America Beautiful campaign was founded in the 70's by the American Can Company, Owens-Illinois Glass, who invented the disposable bottle, along with more than 20 other companies who benefit from disposables.

The entire campaign was paid for by corporations shifting the responsibility for littering from the manufacturers who should be taking returns, to the public.

They still say nothing about returnables as an option; they continue to encourage a disposable society with the burden paid for by the citizen and the taxpayer. The message is still wrong.

This is hilarious! Speaking strictly as a consumer myself, I'll never forget my dismay when I learned that plastic bags can't be recycled in the recycling bins in the Northern California city where I live. I had been spoiling the entire huge bin, full to the brim mostly with newspapers, with those dang plastic bags! And it took me more than a year to find out!

There's no doubt in my mind that this is an effective and fun way to get the message out, and getting out the message that people need to recycle - and how to do it properly - is a good thing.

Okay, it may not be perfect, but if you start complaining about every effort that's not perfect, you're going to be part of the problem and not the solution. Progress, not perfection, that's the goal!
