Help Pick the New Chevy MiniCar
by Lloyd Alter, Toronto on 04. 4.07

You don't need a hybrid to use less gas, you just need a smaller car. General Motors is getting this message (as John pointed out earlier) and today Chevrolet unveiled three new small designs from GM' s Design Studio in Incheon, South Korea, where they know something about small cars.
According to the press release, “The original mission was to develop the perfect Chevrolet small car for urban commuters, but after the architecture was developed, the young designers brought so much energy to the project that they came back with not one but three interpretations of how this car could be built and adapted to Chevrolet customers around the world.”
So in a very web 2.0 fashion we all get to vote which of the three designs we like best, not that they give much information on them. Too bad they won't let us make ads for them. All three are fuel-sipping little things. Take your pick at ::Vote4chevrolet via ::Groovy Green

I voted for the Beat since it was the only one that wasn't a crossover/mini ute design.
Yeah, the Beat is the only really practical looking one. A hatchback is so useful, and it has a nice small front end, which allows the driver a larger field of vision - good for parking in tight spots, and good for not hitting small people who might be front of you. Oh, and it looks like the Beat uses less material, too, which is clearly better for the environment.
How do I vote, "I don't like any of them?"
Honestly, how do they expect you to vote without giving you any information about the vehicles other than a cryptic 6 word description, and a picture the size of a penny.
If the goal is to get me to vote purely on asthetics, then at least give me a few LARGE images of the designs from different angles.
This vote is typical BS from big auto. I see it only as a marketing scam designed to get on people's blogs and in the news without any purpose for gaining consumer feedback. How I hate GM.
They don't even do duplicate IP checking, you can vote over & over.
Thus this supports that it's just viral marketing.
Voted for the Beat, it most resembles my wife's Yaris. Personally I drive a Prius.
Honestly, who forgives them for the streetcar conspiracy, let alone the EV-1. Now they are backing away from the volt.
If it was electric and not gas powered I'd consider it.
I voted for the Beat, seemed the most likely actually be economical and green. I was disapointed with the lack of information and tend to agree this is just marketing without any substance.
