We have previously covered urban ‘mushing’ here. No, this is not the art of pureeing organic vegetables to make food for your city-dwelling baby, but rather it’s a neat way to get about town cheaply, and cleanly, while exercising your dog. Now Ideal Bite have a very informative post on this subject, including safety tips and a round-up of equipment suppliers. ::Via Ideal Bite::

I don't think that this is a good idea. The dog may want to stop, and then ...bad things could happen.

I'm surprised you even dared bring this subject up again...

Don't think it would work for my 17 lb Bichon though. He can go for an all day hike, but isn't a very strong dog. Just lots of energy.

Looks like a great idea. Except it's only practical for recreation, with out a kennels at a stores or work.

Wow, small minds. Cool idea. Lock the bike up, and take the dog ON A LEASH to wherever you need to go, go back, dog off leash, you're rolling again. Obviously, a level of common sense is required when deciding what and when to use the bike. With dogs we had that love to pull and work, they are also smart enough to know better than to stop fast when they are pulling/running with/beside something. Theyr'e smart enough to realize they might get hurt/run over, unlike some people . . .
