Transformer Furniture: World's fastest Sofa
by Lloyd Alter, Toronto on 02. 5.07

We like to promote furniture that serves multiple functions as a way of using less space more efficiently, so how could we pass on a sofa that goes 87 miles per hour? The implications are huge- no more parking spaces required, you keep it in the living room. The green credentials of the Chaise Lunge are not terrific as it has a 220 horsepower Rover V8 engine under the cushions, but we are informed that the leopard skin upholstery is fake. He does also have a far more efficient four-poster bed powered by an 1800cc Volkswagen engine. He has also built a full washroom with "a tub, shower and sink", shown below the fold. LOL, these are totally awesome. I love the bathtub one better. With dirty laundry hanging out of the basket, that is HOT!
That can't be safe... And I wouldn't call it "Mobile Architecture", I'd call it "Mobile living room". =P
Wait, why is this posted on treehugger? I thought the novelty of driving around in your living room was already spent with the Hummer.
Call me a spoilsport, but this isn't green. Yawn.
i'm afraid i have to agree w/ jimgreasy. i thought treehugger's purpose is to draw attention to those who are living green, developing new ways to help others live green, etc.
not to toot the horns (no pun intended) of people who are doing just the opposite.
i guess this makes me a spoilsport and killjoy, too.
I'd like to see far fewer of these ungreen novelty posts in the future.
Trying to be as green as possible, doesn't mean you have to lose your sense of humor.
Thinking out of the box leads to innovation.
I like the mobile sofa, I will offer a logo, icon, template for free of cost. If any one want contact me
