I’ve been asking around and I can tell you, on the whole New Yorkers are quite upset about the odd weather we’ve been experiencing of recent. As a concept, global warming has entered into the public awareness in a big way. Its being reinforced by the wacky weather. Citizens are concerned and want to know what they can do to stop it.
All around New York, phone booths feature the above advertisement. These cheeky public service announcements provoke New Yorkers to either fight global warming or do nothing. The idea is to drive audiences to the website www.fightglobalwarming.com a site that provides information on the causes, science, and consequences of global warming. A large part of the site focuses on what every person can do to reduce their energy consumption and therefore do their part to help slow and reverse global warming. Another positive thing nyc has started doing is using hybrid-electric buses around the city I believe there may be a few hundred (over 300) driving around. Hopefully this will continue until they replace the whole fleet and of course we have one of the better transit systems in the country even if NYers still complain about it. It is defintely more extensive than most making it easy to get just about anywhere in the metro nyc area without pumping CO2 into the atmosphere.

Stop scaring people about global warming it is not the end of the world or even close. Pollution is a problem but there are so many other worst problems. I am a scientist and the science about the cause of any warming is guess work and what the warming might actually mean to the planet is also a guess. Wake up, use common sense and stop worrying. This a money scheme by some scientists to increase research funds.
I think both I think it's a scam to get our money but I also think gloal warming is happening.I think glbal warming is happening but not to an extent where we need to freak out and start buying hybrids like crazy and shit bu we also need to consider what we are doing to our planet!I'm open minded about the situation.
There is little scientific evidence to substantiate any of those ridiculous claims, just like Al Gore invented the Internet. Our earth constantly goes thru warm/cold cycles. Remember the blind man and the elephant?

We can do abslutely nothing to effect a change in our planet's temperature. And by the way Chicken Little, please tell us what is the earth's optimum temperature? What should it be?
