Take Action (contests)

As promised, our first three Convenient Truths entrants of 2007, Tanya, Matt, and Jack, were given the opportunity a couple of weeks ago to have an exclusive phone chat with contest judge Daryl Hannah. Listen in to hear Daryl's thoughts on the entrants' videos, the power of communicating about Climate Change through video, her predictions for 2007 and more!

If nothing has convinced you to enter thus far (even the $30,000 in sustainable loot), we hope the example set by our three inspired entrants and the actress/activist/biodiesel expert/jill of all trades Daryl Hannah might. In line with the TreeHugger philosphy, Daryl stresses the importance of sending a positive and pragmatic message to effect change.

Send your peers a message by capturing your solution on video and uploading it to www.truths.treehugger.com. You don't have to be Scorcese. Our judges are just looking for an inspiring, solution-based video that's 1-2 minutes long, whether it's polished or gritty. What are you doing to reduce your personal carbon emissions?

Hurry! The deadline to enter is February 28.
