though I am imagining they intended the argument to be for people to go vegetarian.
As I like meat and do not want to give it up...
I would like to construe this as an argument for methane collection and generation as that is where the majority of carbon emissions are coming from in this.
the methane generated from manure should be collected
and used as a renewable natural gas alternative (natural gas is 90% methane)
And for the methane burned on the farm, barn air should be the air source for the flame; burning the methane in otherwise unusable concentrations and the odor chemicals.
the other energy usage is consistent with mitigation through the 100 mile diet, with local butchering and having the cattle being fed on crops grown on the farm they are being raised on.

You've put me in the mood, I'm headin' out for a big greasy one right now...
i am all in favour of green technoligies ,but i hate greenies like ypu and do not belive that co2 causes climate change.
