The Organic Pharmacy

OrganicPharmacy.jpg The Organic Pharmacy was founded by Margo Marrone, who is a pharmacist, homeopath and yummy mummy. With a pedigree like that, of course the organic products are loved by Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna. The shops are an oasis of calm; white and peaceful, with fresh flowers and beautiful bottles and potions. The ingredients come from all over the world and sound like a walk in the countryside: borage, hibiscus, and honeysuckle. Products are hand made in small batches and contain no artificial preservatives or fragrances. In a recent interview, Margo Marrone told all. Her “most thrilling recent discovery is that Rosehip oil takes your wrinkles away! Her guilty pleasures are Clipper's delicious Fairtrade and organic hot chocolate and espressos. The 3 worst ‘beauty’ ingredients used in regular skincare are parabens (mimic oestrogen in the body), formaldehyde releasing preservatives (Diazolidinyl Urea, Imidazolidinyl Urea) and artificial fragrances (in nearly everything). The most reliable sources to check up on cosmetic ingredients are Samuel Epstein’s The Safe Shoppers Bible and preventcancer.com. The secret to beautiful skin is detox, detox, detox." :: The Organic Pharmacy and :: Style Will Save Us

I was so looking forward to this book, but when it arrived, I was soon disappointed. The copyright is at least 10 years old and most of the pharmaceutical products are no longer available at the stores. What a waste. Why Amazon still sells this, is beyond me.
